Tamwood Vancouver
(269 ratings)
Make the most of your time travelling and exploring Canada by attending one, or all of Tamwood International College’s three locations: in downtown Vancouver, Toronto or Whistler. The Vancouver Tamwood school is conveniently located in the center of the town, just blocks from the Skytrain and Seabus Station.
The Tamwood building itself is located on the third floor of the building, with bright classrooms, a student lounge and a self study area. iPads, laptops, free WIFI and a resource lending library provide opportunities for students to use technology and resources to increase their learning capacity. Microwaves and hot and cold water stations are also provided for students to use. Additionally, the ground floor of the building has a spacious, modern coffee shop and an international food court is located just half a block away for students to share their spare time with their classmates.
Tamwood’s programs focus on the essential English language skills of grammar, conversation, writing, speaking, listening, pronunciation and vocabulary. These classes help students to see how their English can be used in everyday life.
The team at the Tamwood’s Vancouver school ensures that their students are able to make the most of their time in Canada with activity programs either included in the course price, or at an affordable cost to the students. Activities to explore Vancouver include theater nights, museum and gallery tours, sporting matches and dinner parties. For those who want to explore further outside of the city, the school arranges trips to go mountain biking, canoeing, skiing and snowboarding and weekend visits to neighboring cities and towns.
All of Tamwood’s teachers are experienced English instructors, holding university degrees and a minimum of one year English teaching experience.

Yalea Rating Index: Very good

Tamwood Vancouver - Pamela
Yalea is an agency that has very professional workers, they take care of everything before and during the stay and even after the experience.
Thanks to the help offered by Yalea I was able to be introduced to different cultures and customs, to get to know people who left me astounded by their kindness and friendship towards me. It was incredible to communicate with people who speak another language. Thanks to the English that we were learning we were able to communicate with each other.

Tamwood Vancouver - Katja
The time in Vancouver was great, the city is phenomenal and the three months passed by so quickly! You can do so much with the mountains and sandy beaches right at your doorstep.
My school, the accommodation, and host family were great. Tamwood is perfectly located, downtown and it is neither too big nor too small. I liked the atmosphere and my teacher was fantastic. I am happy that I found the school thanks to your organization. The accommodation in Burnaby was a bit further away but easy to reach thanks to the Skytrain and I was very satisfied with it.
Unlike other students at the school, I knew I could always contact you for any questions or problems that came up, but everything went perfectly.
All in all my language course abroad was an unforgettable and wonderful experience!
Kind regards,
Katja

Tamwood Vancouver - Patrizia
I just wanted to say: YOU ARE DOING INCREDIBLE WORK WITH YOUR ORGANIZATION! I didn’t just have the perfect family, the perfect school, the perfect place and perfect seats in the airplane but I was also wonderfully prepared by your advice. You are really an organization that, in my opinion, takes real good care of their students! Incredible!
Most of my classmates lived in lonely and poor areas with a lot of other students in the same house with bad food. But myself and another student who went with your agency enjoyed the perfect language course abroad and stayed in nice areas. I recommend you to all of my friends who are planning to go abroad. For me, this trip exceeded all of my expectations and I know that I owe a lot of my luck to you!
The preparations, the quality of the trip and Vancouver were perfect for my language course. I got the chance to go bungee jumping, go surfing, cliff jumping, whitewater rafting - so many adventures!!! I even had some problems with my Swiss German after I came back - what a great feeling!!! :D
